Volunteer

Our organization is the only one in Georgia focused on the sibling connection and relationship. We bring brothers and sisters together to build childhood memories they may not otherwise have the opportunity to do with their sibling. We are finalizing our 2024 events now and applications will open in 2024.

We need your help

The success of Siblings Forever is largely due to our volunteers. It takes over 50+ volunteers to assist us in running Summer camp and Family Connections Events. Counselors must be at least 19 years old and one year out of high school. Returning Campers can apply as a Counselor in Training at the age of 18.

We look for enthusiastic, safety-conscious and caring individuals whose first priority is the wellbeing of separated siblings. A background working with children, teens or young adults, as well as experience with other camps is helpful but not required. Summer Camp volunteers are supported by a camp director, camp nurses, and a team of lead counselors throughout the camp week. This is in addition to the incredible Camp Twin Lakes staff that help facilitate activities and operate the camp grounds. We need volunteers for Summer Camp, Holiday Camp, and Family Connection Events (held throughout the year in the Atlanta area). Without volunteers, we cannot help these siblings create forever memories at our events.

Summer Camp Volunteers must:

  • Be age 19 or older and at least 1 year out of High School.

  • Complete and pass a background check

  •  Complete and pass reference checks

  •  Attend all mandatory training sessions

  • Be physically and emotionally capable of supervising campers and participating in all activities with campers the entire week of camp

  • Be able to commit to being at Siblings Forever Summer Camp for the full camp week to include training the Saturday before campers arrive. Campers arrive on Sunday and remain until Friday.

  • Sleep in the cabins with the campers all week long.

We are also looking for Summer Camp Nurses!

  • Must be a registered nurse with an active license

  • Must be certified in CPR

  • Nurses help distribute medications, support youth with any medical needs, and help make the week fun and filled with love and care!

Family Connections Volunteers must:

  • Be age 19 or older and at least 1 year out of High School.

  • Complete and pass a background check

  •  Complete and pass reference checks

  •  Attend all mandatory training sessions

  • Be physically and emotionally capable of supervising campers and participating in all activities with children during day or weekend events.

  • Be able to commit to being at the event to include a virtual training before the event

As part of our initiative to increase Family Connections Events, we invite potential volunteers to complete an application to serve at all events. In the application, you will find a Session Selection page where you can choose any events that you might want to attend. We can provide more details about each event to help you as you consider which events to apply for.
